Prasad Suri is an artist, author and archaeologist, and a 2025 Sahitya Akademi Yuva Puraskar awardee. His debut novel, My Name Is Chiranjeevi, is semi-autobiographical and was written when he was 19. His second novel, the award-winning Telugu work Mairaavana, took three years of field research and documents the coastal life, migration, history and struggles of the Vada Balija fishing community.
