Nagnamuni is a pioneering modern Telugu poet, writer, and prominent social rebel. He became a founding father of the radical 1960s Digambara Kavitodyamam (Naked Poetry Movement) and later co-founded VIRASAM. His poetry stripped away societal illusions to aggressively expose systemic corruption. His highly celebrated political masterpiece, Koyya Gurram (The Wooden Horse), remains a landmark allegory critiquing state oppression and institutional decay in modern India.
