Dr. Sharankumar Limbale is a highly acclaimed Indian Marathi author, poet, and prominent Dalit activist. Renowned for his hard-hitting prose, he has authored over 40 books. He achieved global literary fame with his pathbreaking 1984 autobiography Akkarmashi (The Outcaste) and his foundational critical text Towards an Aesthetics of Dalit Literature. He was honored with the prestigious Saraswati Samman for his historic socio-political novel Sanatan.
