Prof. Ghanta Chakrapani is a highly distinguished Indian sociologist, author, newspaper columnist, and the current Vice-Chancellor of Dr. B. R. Ambedkar Open University. He holds a monumental place in the region's history as the first Chairperson of the Telangana State Public Service Commission (TSPSC), serving from 2014 to 2020. A prominent intellectual voice during the statehood movement, his highly celebrated weekly column, Ghantapatham, in Namasthe Telangana served as a powerful ideological vehicle for regional rights. Over his prolific career, he has authored 17 influential books exploring social justice, globalization, and Telangana's socio-political transformation.
