Sameera is a development sector professional with more than a decade of experience in education, computational thinking, career and gender. She has a deep interest in arts and culture, with experience in film and cultural festivals, filmmaking, film criticism, theatre, choirs and more. Her interest in preserving Telugu literature led her to the Tilt workshop in 2024, a first-of-its-kind six-month translation workshop led by translator Ros Schwartz and organised jointly by the Telugu publishers Aju and Chaaya Publications. She has translated several short stories and one novel from Telugu into English.

సమీర అభివృద్ధి రంగ నిపుణురాలు; విద్య, కంప్యూటేషనల్ థింకింగ్, కెరీర్, జెండర్ రంగాల్లో పదేళ్లకు పైగా అనుభవం ఉంది. కళలు, సంస్కృతిపై ఆమెకు లోతైన ఆసక్తి; సినిమా, సాంస్కృతిక ఉత్సవాల్లో పాల్గొనడం, సినిమా నిర్మాణం, సినిమా విమర్శ, రంగస్థలం, గాయక బృందాలు వంటి విభిన్న అనుభవాలు ఆమెకు ఉన్నాయి. తెలుగు సాహిత్యాన్ని భద్రపరచాలన్న ఆసక్తితో, తెలుగు ప్రచురణ సంస్థలు అజు, ఛాయ పబ్లికేషన్స్ కలిసి 2024లో నిర్వహించిన ‘టిల్ట్’ అనువాద వర్క్‌షాప్‌లో పాల్గొన్నారు. రోజ్ ష్వార్ట్జ్ నేతృత్వంలో ఆరు నెలల పాటు సాగిన ఈ తరహా వర్క్‌షాప్ ఇదే మొదటిది. తెలుగు నుంచి ఇంగ్లీషులోకి అనేక కథలను, ఒక నవలను అనువదించారు.
