Dr. Chittarvu Madhu writes science fiction and medical thrillers in Telugu and English, and is a consultant physician, diabetologist and cardiologist at Durgabai Deshmukh Hospital, Hyderabad. His debut novel ICCU, a cardiology thriller serialised in Andhra Prabha in 1990, was acclaimed for its wealth of medical detail; with Bye Bye Polonia and Epidemic it formed a medical science fiction trilogy. In English he wrote the space opera trilogy War for Mars: A Story of the Fourth Millennium, which he himself rendered into Telugu as Kujudi Kosam. Across some 20 novels and more than 65 stories, among them Z Science Fiction Stories, Algorithm, The Last City After the AI Apocalypse and Roaches, he explores AI, robotic uprisings, memory transfer and climate futures. He received Telugu University's Keerthi Puraskaram in 2023.

చిత్తర్వు మధు తెలుగు, ఇంగ్లీషు భాషల్లో సైన్స్ ఫిక్షన్, మెడికల్ థ్రిల్లర్లు రాసే రచయిత. వృత్తిరీత్యా హైదరాబాదులోని దుర్గాబాయి దేశ్‌ముఖ్ ఆసుపత్రిలో కన్సల్టెంట్ ఫిజీషియన్, డయాబెటాలజిస్ట్, కార్డియాలజిస్ట్. 1990లో ‘ఆంధ్రప్రభ’ వారపత్రికలో ధారావాహికగా వచ్చిన ఆయన తొలి నవల ‘ఐసీసీయూ’ వైద్య విజ్ఞానాన్ని కథనంలో మేళవించిన తీరుకు విమర్శకుల ప్రశంసలు పొందింది. ‘బై బై పొలోనియా’, ‘ఎపిడెమిక్’ నవలలతో కలిసి అది ఒక మెడికల్ సైన్స్ ఫిక్షన్ త్రయంగా రూపుదిద్దుకుంది. ఇంగ్లీషులో రాసిన స్పేస్ ఒపేరా త్రయం ‘వార్ ఫర్ మార్స్’ను ‘కుజుడి కోసం’ పేరుతో ఆయనే తెలుగులోకి అనువదించారు. కృత్రిమ మేధ (AI), రోబోల తిరుగుబాటు, జ్ఞాపకాల మార్పిడి, వాతావరణ మార్పు వంటి అంశాలపై దాదాపు 20 నవలలు, 65కు పైగా కథలు రాశారు; ‘జడ్ సైన్స్ ఫిక్షన్ కథలు’, ‘అల్గారిథం’, ‘నగరంలో మరమానవి’ వాటిలో కొన్ని. 2023లో తెలుగు విశ్వవిద్యాలయం కీర్తి పురస్కారం అందుకున్నారు.
