Rajiv Velicheti is a theatre director and translator who teaches Theatre Arts at the University of Hyderabad. He has translated Shakespeare's Macbeth and A Midsummer Night's Dream and Brecht's The Caucasian Chalk Circle into Telugu. He adapted and directed Patanjali's Gopatrudu as the Hindi play Bol Ari O Dharti Bol, and directed an adaptation of Gabriel García Márquez's One Hundred Years of Solitude as Ek Sadi – Tanha Akeli. His other directed plays include Macbeth, Girish Karnad's Nagamandala, Sophocles' Antigone, Aristophanes' Thesmophoriazusae (as WoMen), Chalam's Yavanavvanam, Badal Sircar's Baki Itihas and Yahan Se Sheher Ko Dekho, drawn from Brecht's city poems, along with the devised thrillers Ek Khoon Sau Baatein and Raaz Ki Baat Kehdoon Toh.

రాజీవ్ వెలిచేటి నాటక దర్శకులు, అనువాదకులు; హైదరాబాద్ విశ్వవిద్యాలయంలో థియేటర్ ఆర్ట్స్ బోధిస్తున్నారు. షేక్స్‌పియర్ ‘మాక్బెత్’, ‘ఎ మిడ్‌సమ్మర్ నైట్స్ డ్రీమ్’, బ్రెహ్ట్ ‘ది కాకేసియన్ చాక్ సర్కిల్’ నాటకాలను తెలుగులోకి అనువదించారు. పతంజలి ‘గోపాత్రుడు’ను ‘బోల్ అరీ ఓ ధర్తీ బోల్’ పేరుతో హిందీ నాటకంగా మలిచి దర్శకత్వం వహించారు; గాబ్రియేల్ గార్సియా మార్కెస్ ‘వన్ హండ్రెడ్ ఇయర్స్ ఆఫ్ సాలిట్యూడ్’ ఆధారంగా హిందీలో ‘ఏక్ సదీ – తన్హా అకేలీ’ నాటకానికి దర్శకత్వం వహించారు. ‘మాక్బెత్’, గిరీశ్ కర్నాడ్ ‘నాగమండల’, సోఫోక్లిస్ ‘ఆంటిగని’, అరిస్టోఫనీస్ ‘థెస్మోఫోరియాజుసే’ (‘WoMen’ పేరుతో), చలం కథ ఆధారంగా ఒక నాటకం, బాదల్ సర్కార్ ‘బాకీ ఇతిహాస్’, బ్రెహ్ట్ నగర కవితల ఆధారంగా ‘యహాఁ సే షహర్ కో దేఖో’, ‘ఏక్ ఖూన్ సౌ బాతేఁ’, ‘రాజ్ కీ బాత్ కెహ్ దూఁ తో’ వంటి థ్రిల్లర్లు ఆయన దర్శకత్వం వహించిన నాటకాల్లో ఉన్నాయి.
