Dr. Prasadamurthy is a Telugu poet who has been writing for more than three decades. Born in Nidamarru village in West Godavari district, Andhra Pradesh, he is known for poetry whose subject is the human being without borders, and for his unusual sentence construction and ever-new style and craft. His debut collection, Kalanetha, appeared in 1999 and was followed by Maatlaadukovaali (2007), Nanna Chettu (2010), Poolandoy Poolu (2014), Chenugattu Piano (2016), Desham Leni Prajalu (2018) and Amma Nanna Oka Cycle (2021); his latest collection is Kolleti Kalalu. His other books include a volume of selected poems (2019), the story collection Sagam Pitta, Prasadasamudram, a collection of essays on his poetry by eminent writers, and the research study Oka Dashabdanni Kudipesina Dalita Kavitvam (2017). He has also written Goldie Padyalu, a kanda padya kavyam on his pet dog, and three long poems: Yuddhame Shanti, Paadam Kinda Kaalam and Pramu Geetam. His honours include the Nutalapati Gangadharam Puraskaram, Somasundar Sahiti Puraskaram, Shantinarayana Puraskaram, Free Verse Front Award, Ummadisetti Sahiti Puraskaram, Smile Sahiti Puraskaram, Rottamaku Revu Award, Sahiti Manikyam Award and the Delhi Telugu Academy award (2012). For a 2008 documentary on Sri Sri he received a Gold Nandi and a Copper Nandi.

డా. ప్రసాదమూర్తి మూడు దశాబ్దాలకు పైగా కవిత్వం రాస్తున్న తెలుగు కవి. ఆంధ్రప్రదేశ్ పశ్చిమ గోదావరి జిల్లా నిడమర్రు గ్రామంలో జన్మించారు. ఎల్లలెరుగని మానవుడే ఆయన కవిత్వానికి వస్తువు; అసాధారణమైన వాక్య నిర్మాణం, నిత్యనూతనమైన శైలీ శిల్పం ఆయన కవిత్వానికి అలంకారాలు. 1999లో ‘కలనేత’ కవితా సంపుటితో తెలుగు కవితా ప్రవాహంలోకి అడుగుపెట్టారు. ‘మాట్లాడుకోవాలి’ (2007), ‘నాన్న చెట్టు’ (2010), ‘పూలండోయ్ పూలు’ (2014), ‘చేనుగట్టు పియానో’ (2016), ‘దేశం లేని ప్రజలు’ (2018), ‘అమ్మ నాన్న ఒక సైకిల్’ (2021) ఆయన కవితా సంపుటాలు; ‘కొల్లేటి కలలు’ తాజా సంపుటి. ఎంపిక చేసిన కవితలతో ‘ప్రసాదమూర్తి కవిత్వం’ (2019), ‘సగం పిట్ట’ కథా సంపుటి, ఆయన కవిత్వంపై ప్రముఖుల వ్యాసాల సంకలనం ‘ప్రసాదసముద్రం’ కూడా వెలువడ్డాయి. ‘ఒక దశాబ్దాన్ని కుదిపేసిన దళిత కవిత్వం’ (2017) ఆయన పరిశోధనా గ్రంథం. తన పెంపుడు శునకంపై ‘గోల్డీ పద్యాలు’ అనే కంద పద్య కావ్యాన్ని, ‘యుద్ధమే శాంతి’, ‘పాదం కింద కాలం’, ‘ప్రమూ గీతం’ అనే మూడు దీర్ఘ కావ్యాలను రాశారు. నూతలపాటి గంగాధరం పురస్కారం, సోమసుందర్ సాహితీ పురస్కారం, శాంతినారాయణ పురస్కారం, ఫ్రీవర్స్ ఫ్రంట్ అవార్డు, ఉమ్మడిశెట్టి సాహితీ పురస్కారం, స్మైల్ సాహితీ పురస్కారం, రొట్టమాకు రేవు అవార్డు, సాహితీ మాణిక్యం అవార్డు, 2012లో ఢిల్లీ తెలుగు అకాడమీ అవార్డు అందుకున్నారు. 2008లో శ్రీశ్రీపై నిర్మించిన డాక్యుమెంటరీకి బంగారు నంది, తామ్ర నంది అవార్డులు పొందారు.
