Dr. Humera Sayeed

Dr. Humera Sayeed is a distinguished academician and literary figure with over 25 years of teaching experience at the graduation level. She is currently Vice-Principal and Associate Professor of Urdu at New Government Degree College for Women, Golconda, Hyderabad. An accomplished author, she has published two books—Urdu Novelon Mein Nisai Hissiyat (Feminine Sensibility in Urdu Novels) and Ghair-e-Afsanvi Adab Ke Farogh Mein Khawateen Ka Hissa (The Role of Women in Promoting Non-Fictional Literature)—with two more forthcoming. She has presented more than 30 research papers at national and international seminars and contributed widely to journals.
Recipient of the Best Teacher Award from the Government of Telangana and the Telangana Urdu Academy Award, Dr. Sayeed is General Secretary of Anjuman Rekhta Goyan and member of several literary and women’s organizations including BANAT, Mehfil Khawateen, Zor Foundation, and Bazgasht. She has also served as a resource person for AIS, ICS, ISS, and IES trainees, and worked with All India Radio and Rainbow FM.
