Mercy Margaret Boda
Mercy Margaret Boda is a National Award–winning Telugu poet, short story writer, playwright, and screenplay writer. She received the Sahitya Akademi Yuva Puraskar (2017) for her debut poetry anthology Maatala Madugu and has since published Kaalam Vaalipotunna Vaipu and Anveeksha Kavitvam. Her poems have been translated into several Indian languages and English, and featured in national and international anthologies. A versatile playwright, she has written five plays, including Asamarthudu and Tripura Shapadham, staged at Ravindra Bharathi to critical acclaim.
Mercy has also contributed to cinema as a screenplay writer and script consultant, working on projects like Dorasani and Varudu Kavalenu. She reviews films on her popular platform “Sinma Panchayiti”. Founder of Kavitvashaala, she has organized national poetry workshops and multilingual women’s poetry meets. Recipient of multiple literary honors, she continues to shape Telugu literature and theatre with creativity, social engagement, and artistic dept.
